Beth Coyne, assistant head of school at The Country School in Madison, Connecticut, was on campus earlier this week to conduct professional development for Preschool, Lower School, and Middle School faculty as part of USM’s Ethical Leadership program. Coyne assisted faculty members in thinking about additional ways to develop leadership capacities in their students, as well as help to the school reframe some of its existing work. Over the course of two days, she met with administrators and faculty members, observed classes, and presented at Lower School and Middle School division faculty meetings.
USM’s Ethical Leadership program is designed to add intentionality, shape, and focus to the important work of creating leaders. The program is led by Upper School faculty members Samantha Adey and Emily Ihrke.
