Congratulations to Ibrahim Motlani ’22, who was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar Semifinalist by the U.S. Department of Education. It is one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students, and Motlani was one of only 17 students in the state to be named a semifinalist.
The program, established in 1964, recognizes and honors the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. From a pool of nearly 3.7 million students from across the country, 5,345 were identified as candidates for the program. Among that number, 620 were selected as semifinalists, and 161 students were named as Presidential Scholars.
