Tim Williams, University School of Milwaukee’s director of athletics, has been named the school’s interim boys’ basketball head coach for the upcoming season. The announcement follows the resignation of Jake Presutti, who accepted a position at the University of Pittsburgh shortly after accepting the head coach role at USM.
Williams has a wealth of experience as an independent school head coach, having served in that role at Louisville Collegiate School for nearly a decade while also serving as their athletic director. He then became the upper school athletic director at Princeton Day School, where he worked for nine years prior to his arrival at USM in 2020. While at PDS, Williams also coached boys basketball for four seasons, leading the team to a state title in 2016.
“We are grateful to Tim for taking on this role while we conduct our search for a new permanent boys’ basketball head coach,” said Gregg Bach, assistant head of school. “He brings a strong coaching background and we’re excited for the season.”
