Celebrating USM’s Multi-generational Families

As Wisconsin’s top academic institution, University School of Milwaukee is fortunate to have students from several generations of family members among its student body. These students—recognized as legacy students when one or more of their parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents attended USM or one of its predecessor schools—and members of their families enjoyed a special breakfast event in November, celebrating their multi-generational commitment to USM. The school held its Legacy Family Breakfast event in November, after a two-hear hiatus, where legacy students and their guests were invited to enjoy a light breakfast in the Jack Olson ’67 Commons, followed by a group photo.

“It’s so wonderful to see the generations that are represented in this space,” said Head of School Steve Hancock in his remarks to the group, “and the memories that are being made right now. I think that’s such a special thing about this place. We should relish that we can all be here together and celebrate many years of being at USM.”
