Students in University School of Milwaukee’s 8th grade art club recently participated in the Empty Bowls Racine fundraiser, creating nearly 40 handmade bowls to support local food programs.
“This annual event raises funds to fight hunger in the community, and we are proud that our students could contribute through their creativity and generosity,” said Izzi Buikus, Middle School art teacher and faculty liaison for the club. “Thank you to our talented young artists for using their skills to make a difference! Their dedication to service and the arts embodies the spirit of our school community.”
