Andrea Worthey Accepted to Prestigious Art Program

Andrea Worthey, Upper School art teacher at University School of Milwaukee, has been accepted into the School for Art Leaders (SAL) 2025 Class, sponsored by the National Art Education Association. This prestigious program is limited to 25 individuals annually, and requires extensive application materials. The program provides participants with learning experiences and skills to successfully lead in any environment, utilizing experiential action learning modules and in-depth conversations with expert leaders.

The 10–month program begins in mid-June 2025 and ends at the NAEA National Convention in Chicago in March 2026. The cohort will participate in a required on-site, five–day, intensive learning module in July 2025, in Bentonville, Arkansas. This will be followed by monthly online learning, from August through January. A final capstone project will be submitted in January 2026, and the program will conclude with presentations and a recognition ceremony at the 2026 NAEA National Convention in Chicago.

"I am extremely excited for this opportunity," said Worthey. This is a great career accomplishment, and I am very excited to share what I have learned from this experience with my students and colleagues."
