More than 350 University School of Milwaukee alumni returned to campus in June to celebrate the annual Reunion Weekend. Events included the Summer Soiree cocktail party on Friday, June 21, followed by the Joe Lubar ’08 alumni baseball game, campus tours, and a cookout at USM Head of School Steve Hancock’s house on Saturday, June 22. A total of 23 unique reunion years were represented at the cocktail party, with the graduation years ranging from 1958 to 2022!
During the Summer Soiree, three alumni were honored with alumni awards. Mark Hansen ’74 and Kip Jacobs ’74 were recognized with the Alumni Service Award for their work to support USM scholarships and campus improvements, respectively. Margaret Lidstone ’89 was named the recipient of the inaugural Alumni Impact Award for her work in global health.
“It was a beautiful weekend to celebrate our alumni and welcome them back to campus,” said Will Piper ’96, assistant director of alumni relations and reunion giving. “Alumni had a great time reminiscing with their classmates and catching up with beloved former teachers. We hope to see everyone back next year for Reunion Weekend 2025!”
