University School of Milwaukee artists in Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School have work on display in the Southeast Youth Art Month regional show. Families are invited to view the work at the Crossman Gallery in Whitewater, Wisconsin, with a reception on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon.
A total of 20 students have work on display (listed below), with 12 of those (listed below, in italics) moving on to the state show in Madison, Wisconsin from March 1 through 28. In addition, two Upper School students won awards for their work. Youth Art Month is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art and art education for all children and to encourage public support for quality school art programs.
Congratulations to the students, and many thanks to USM visual arts teachers Izzi Buikus, Mandy Culver, Jessica Michels, and Andrea Worthey for their assistance.
