Zack Fountain Named Varsity Baseball Coach

Zack Fountain has been named University School of Milwaukee’s varsity baseball coach. Previously, Fountain coached baseball at East High School in West Bend, Wisconsin, where he led the team to the North Shore Conference championship in 2023, the team’s first conference championship in 20 years. “Zack comes highly recommended and I think he is a great fit for our baseball team and school,” said Tim Williams, USM’s director of athletics. “We will be in good hands with him leading our program.”

Fountain produced back-to-back seasons with over 15 wins while coaching baseball at East High School, and he helped many players progress to play college baseball. “This opportunity to assume the head coaching role at USM is one that I couldn’t pass up,” he said. “I know USM’s baseball history and I am incredibly excited to lead the program.”

He has also coached with the Milwaukee Baseball Academy and will join the faculty at West Allis Central High School this fall, after teaching in the West Bend school district for three years. He is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee, where he was a Dean's List student in history. He lives in Milwaukee with his fiancée, Morgan, and their dog, Kobe.
