Arts Celebrated in Upper School

The arts were celebrated by Upper School students at University School of Milwaukee during a recent assembly. It began with highlighting the spring issue of the “Phoenix Literary & Arts Magazine,” and was followed by a screening of two student-produced films: “Overhead” and “Manie Musicale.” The assembly ended with the distribution of certificates for awards earned from Scholastic Art and Scholastic Writing

The students who made the film were Bianca Ladd ’27, Amarie Cannady ’27, Ian Findlay ’27, Natalie Friedman ’28, Mariner Hernandez ’26, Stella Janowski-Melchior ’26, Nathan Liberman ’29, Ellis Mancuso ’29, Sydney Norman ’26, Atieno Rodriguez ’26, and Vic Strickroot ’27. The film featured actors Cannady, Ladd, Mancuso, Rodriguez, Lauren Stone ’26, and Strickroot.

The other film screened was "Manie Musicale," a French language music video made by Analise Olson ’28, Mimi Read ’28, and Carolina Ushakova-Kasymova ’28, who each also acted in the video.
