Author Salina Yoon Visits USM

Students, teachers, and parents at University School of Milwaukee were treated to a special visit on Wednesday, May 6: best-selling and award-winning author Salina Yoon. Throughout the day, Yoon spoke to students in prekindergarten through 3rd grade, and she concluded her visit with a writing workshop open to Upper School students, faculty and staff, as well as Preschool and Lower School parents. The workshop explored the mechanics of storytelling, demonstrated how to observe the world with a curious eye, and invited attendees to gain a deeper understanding of their own creative process.

Many thanks to Middle School Librarian Ivana Renteria who assisted with Yoon’s visit, and USM’s Parents’ Association for providing funding.
