Girls Lacrosse Takes 2nd in State Championship
After securing a WIAA sectional championship, the USM girls’ lacrosse team fell 12-11 in the state championship game against defending champions Hudson on Saturday, June 13. It was a hard-fought battle, with the score remaining tied until the final minute of play. This marked USM’s second appearance at state in the past three years.
USM completed the season with an overall record of 17-4, including an undefeated mark of 8-0 on the way to winning a North Shore Conference championship. Senior Darcy Doyle ’26 scored seven goals for the Wildcats during the match.
