Mike Borge Named Head Boys’ Hockey Coach

University School of Milwaukee has announced that Mike Borge has been named head boys’ ice hockey coach. Borge has previously served as assistant coach for the team, and contributed to the boys’ sectional championship this past season. “His deep connection to the program, combined with his passion for student-athlete development, makes him an outstanding fit to lead our team forward,” said Tim Williams, USM’s director of athletics.

As former Division I hockey player at Brown University, Borge was a three-time All-Academic selection and an NCAA Award of Valor finalist who brings both high-level playing experience and a strong academic perspective to his coaching. He has spent years coaching at multiple levels, including AAA hockey, and has consistently demonstrated a commitment to skill development, teamwork, and building meaningful relationships with players.

Borge’s vision for the team is centered on character, accountability, and community. He believes in developing players not only as athletes, but as leaders and ambassadors for the school, strengthening the connection between current players, families, and alumni.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike into this role and look forward to the energy, integrity, and leadership he will bring to our program,” said Williams.
