Specialty Programs

USM offers Extended Time Care (E.T.C.) specialty and extended programs that offer fun enrichment activities for USM students in prekindergarten through 8th grade. Specialty program classes are led by USM teachers or affiliates of the school who have demonstrated their commitment to providing quality after school experiences.

USM offers the following program sessions during the school year:

  • Extended Session 1 (mid-September to early December)
  • Fall Session (mid-September to mid-November)
  • Mini Session (mid-November to the start of winter break)
  • Winter Session (January to early March)
  • Extended Session 2 (January to the end of the school year)
  • Spring Session (April to the end of the school year)

Specialty program classes are offered one day per week, including select Saturday sessions.

How to Register

To register, families must create an account with UltraCamp, USM's registration software. Specialty programs will remain open for registration until at least one week before the first program starts. If you are interested in registering after the class has started, you can contact the Auxiliary Programs office. Following registration, billing will be submitted to your child's USM FACTS student billing account.

Behavioral Statement

Appropriate behavior is expected during all E.T.C. Specialty Programs. If a student's behavior disrupts others' ability to learn and enjoy their experiences, or affects teachers' ability to teach effectively, a parent or caregiver will be alerted. If problematic behavior persists, the student may be asked to take a break from the program. Breaks will be determined by the severity and repetition of the behavior, and removal from the program due to unacceptable behavior does not qualify for a refund.
