Our scholars have been researching the inner workings of complicated systems. See below for descriptions of their projects.
George Endres
George is exploring the issue of organization in coaching, as coaches need to be organized so they can focus on other team issues.
Yousef Gardezi
People with cars need to know how their car works so they can fix it if it breaks. Yousef’s project aims to teach people how a car works by using simplified examples of components in a car. He has built a model piston and model transmission and hopes to find out more about the other parts of a car.
Iris Liu
Teenagers need comfort in dark times, with prevalent issues such as depression and other common mental health problems. Teens are mostly online. After experiencing the different aspects of video games, Iris realized the story, details, and lore of a game are impactful aspects to teen psychology. It’s the part that evokes the most emotion, and can comfort those who are suffering. Iris wants to develop a story that will also provide comfort.
