Alumni Visits

The USM Alumni Association visited with alumni from coast to coast this spring, and they even brought a special guest with them to L.A., Mr. John “J.S.” Stephens, who was thrilled to visit with some of his former students. Recalled John Scheinfeld ’71, “Mr. Stephens believed in me in ways that I did not. Under his positive and caring mentorship, I grew and evolved into a better student and person.”

History Lecture Series

Alumni and friends had a chance to test their U.S. history knowledge at a special lecture series that featured retired USM history teachers Steve Bruemmer, Mark Hilgendorf, and John “J.S.” Stephens. During three evenings in April, the retired faculty members, along with current Upper School History Department faculty Ben Zarwell ’87, Dr. Henry Wend, and Tyler Ritchie, compared and contrasted influential American figures.
