It can be tough to start at a new school. But at USM, the new student carnival, hosted by the Enrollment Management office, seeks to minimize first-day jitters by giving new students and their families the opportunity to meet teachers and friends, enjoy fun games and snacks, and learn their classroom locations ahead of the big day. This year, USM welcomed more than 1,130 students from prekindergarten through 12th grade.

Ari Peri ’32 enjoyed one of the bounce castles during the new student carnival in August.
