USM hosts numerous opportunities throughout the year for families to learn about our school. These events, often highlighting a specific area of the school or subject matter, are open to any family who wants to learn more about our offerings. Making the Most of Middle School - Tuesday, March 4

Making the Most of Middle School - Tuesday, March 4

Join us for Making the Most of Middle School on Tuesday, March 4 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. to get a look at what's next in your child's educational journey. During the event, you will hear from the leaders of USM's Middle School and travel on parent volunteer-led tours to see firsthand what makes our school unmatched. You will also be able to speak with faculty and ask questions about curriculum, teaching style, assessments, and why they love teaching middle school students.

Registration for this event will open in mid-December.

Shadow Visits

Students who are interested in attending USM for grade K-12 are invited to attend a shadow visit day. This is the perfect opportunity for your child to experience our school firsthand, and is an integral part of the application process. Your child will be paired with a current student, and they will take part in classes, lunch, and community-building activities throughout the day. Preschool Playgroups

One highlight of the Preschool application process (PK and JK) is to visit campus with your little one(s) for a playgroup. Children will visit with members of our Preschool team, engage in activities, and enjoy open play. Observing play and interacting with your children allows our Preschool team to evaluate early skills and developmental milestones.

While children are playing, parents will be able to ask questions about the Preschool and K-12 great program, and hear about our educational philosophy. Coffee and breakfast treats will be available.
