Major Scholarships

USM offers full and partial scholarships to make a USM education a realistic choice. Donors provide financial support to the scholarship program and funds are used to assist with tuition, as well as additional fees, such as technology, books, transportation, and athletics.

How to apply for major scholarships:

Complete the application process for USM admission.
Complete the Clarity tuition assistance application.
Complete the scholarship application (form below). Your scholarship application must be submitted on time for consideration. Late submissions will not be accepted.
As you await for decisions from the admissions and scholarship committees, continue to learn all you can about USM.

Submit Your Scholarship Application

The deadline for submitting scholarship applications for the 2026-27 school year is Monday, Nov. 17, 2025. Families must also complete the enrollment application and tuition assistance application (through Clarity) by this date to be considered for a scholarship. Recommendation Letter

You are required to have one adult, who is not a member of your family, write a recommendation letter identifying your characteristics, talents, and experiences that they have observed in the time they have known you. Please keep recommendations to one page and provide contact information for any potential follow-up. We will not consider any additional recommendations.
