The USM Alumni Association exists to serve you as alumni of University School of Milwaukee or any of the three predecessor schools. We can provide resources, facilitate networking, and help you connect with each other and stay engaged with our incredible school. We pride ourselves on fostering new connections and building lasting relationships for all alumni.

Here are a few ways we are trying to put the USM network to work for you:

Alumni Newsletters

The USM Alumni Association sends quarterly newsletters to all alumni and parents of alumni. These newsletters include stories about our community, upcoming alumni events, and celebrating alumni who are doing amazing things in their communities. If you have not been receiving the newsletter, please update your contact information so that we can send the newsletter to your preferred email address.

Alumni Mentorship Program

The USM alumni community is full of innovative, successful and influential professionals of all trades, just like you! The Alumni Association has created a career services program for our community featuring mentorship opportunities, and we are recruiting alumni to participate. Whether you want to mentor the next generation of leaders, or you are looking for a mentor in your field, the USM community is here to help!

The Alumni Mentorship Program gives you the opportunity to help, or receive help, with the following:

Resume or CV feedback
Interview preparation
Advice based on professional experiences
Connect with professionals in your field
Mentor a current students in their capstone Tower Project

Homecoming and Reunion Weekend Volunteers

Homecoming and Reunion Weekend are great opportunities to get involved with the school and connect with your classmates.

As a volunteer you have the unique opportunity to

Create events that will engage and entertain the community
Encourage the philanthropic support of the school through gifts to the USM Fund
Connect with current families as a representative of the Alumni Association
Have a voice in alumni programming

Class Agents

Class Agents work with the Advancement office to, collect class news, promote alumni events, serve as a school ambassador and encourage alumni to support the USM Fund. Serving as a class agent allows you to help your classmates stay informed on what’s happening at USM.

Alumni Internship Program

Given the success of the Internship and Shadowing Program, USM is expanding its offering via a new initiative. The Network at Work program connects college-aged alumni with companies offering internships in the Milwaukee area and beyond, wherever USM alumni are employed. Opportunities should be submitted to alumni@usm.org and once reviewed, will be posted to the Alumni Information board.

Uihlein Scholarship Fund for Children of Alumni

In 1994, Polly MDS'38 and Henry Uihlein MCDS'39 established the Uihlein Scholarship Fund to increase the accessibility of a USM education for children of alumni. The fund provides financial assistance to children of alumni so that they may receive the same USM education as their parents. Since its inception, the fund has awarded more than 550 scholarship grants, totaling more than $1.5 million. Request Your Transcripts

The USM Alumni Association and the College Guidance office have partnered with Parchment, a secure document delivery service, to make it easy for alumni to request their transcripts. Parchment collects the transcripts from USM and shares them with each college in the format that they prefer, making the process simple for you and the institution that you are applying to.
