Art Gallery Exhibitions

In 2018, USM opened the Werner Family Art Gallery, as part of the Our Common Bond campaign. This gallery, located in the Upper School, gives students of all ages the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. Gallery exhibitions include curricular work, annual showcases of student and faculty pieces, Scholastic Award-winning pieces, and even visiting artist installations.

Comic-Con

An annual event, and a hallmark of the 6th grade experience, Comic-con is the collaborative melding of English, theatre arts, and visual arts to create an evening of student artistic expression. Students write and perform monologues, create superhero drawings, and design costumes that bring their unique caped crusaders to life!

Concerts

Students in all divisions showcase their musical talents throughout the year at curricular and seasonal concerts. Whether your student chooses choir, band, or orchestra, they will have numerous opportunities to perform for their families and peers.

Lower School students practice a dance routine.

Dance Performances

Throughout the year, Lower School students learn various styles of dance and hone their skills in a dedicated dance studio. Then they hit the stage to perform for their families with the confidence of Fred Astaire!

Gallery Night

Each spring, students showcase the artistic talents they have developed throughout the year at Gallery Night. Families are invited to campus where classrooms and hallways transform into art galleries filled with student artwork. Students share what inspired their art, the tools and techniques used, and how they have grown as artists.

Middle School students perform Matilda the Musical.

Theatrical Performances

Each year, USM students perform four theatrical productions, including musicals, plays, in addition to an evening of one-acts. Students hone their skills on the stage, and learn the arts of set building, lighting and sound, and performing in an orchestra pit. Will your student become USM's next Academy Award-winning actor?
