Changes to several areas of operation were made by University School of Milwaukee for the 2020–21 school year to ensure the health and safety of the entire school community. Modifications were made to daily student drop-off and pick-up procedures, using a new app for required daily health screening prior to arrival at school and the coordination of car circles at the end of the school day. Bus routes were also updated to ensure appropriate physical distancing, and new cleaning and sanitization procedures were also implemented, with bus riders also required to wear face masks while on the bus.
Changes were also made to the before- and after-school program for this year. Before-school care was suspended for the year, and after-school care was modified to group students by age-level cohorts to minimize the risk of community spread. In addition, families were asked to register for after-school care via advance monthly registration. All after-school enrichment classes were suspended for the 2020–21 school year.
