The organization Artists Working in Education (AWE) will be showing you how to make 3D sculptures out of tinfoil. What will you create with this everyday media?

1. Select a colored cut out burst
2. Select a word stencil, use a visual reference, or draw your own
3. Color in the word using bold and contrasting colors
4. Outline the letters to add depth and add patterns into the burst
5. Take your design home to enjoy

Let's color together! Grab a marker and add your color and flair to our community coloring pages that were designed by some of our 3rd grade students. The artwork was voted on by their peers!

Pick a mold and color of goo and create your own new gelly creature.

It takes 3 minutes to become a solid creature. You can take it home in a plastic bag. If you let it sit out, it will dry. If you squeeze it too hard, it will explode.

Upper School student Tatiana Marich '25 is working on an independent study about innovation in fashion. She designed and printed a fabric and sewed an outfit that is on display. Tatiana won a Gold Key award in the Scholastic Art competition for her work.

Join us in our dark corner to try out our new light drawing boards. Express yourself with a wonderful drawing using the light pads. Take a picture to remember it and erase it for the next person to use.

Join us in the Lubar Innovation Center in the Upper School to make a quick electronics project with items made in the Lubar Center. We can always use a little illumination in our life.

Mr. Geniuz is a genius at drawing mandalas. Sit down and learn from the master how to draw these intricate forms from the middle out.

Create some expressive pencils. Choose some colors that compliment each other and float on top of the water. Then dip your pencil into the inks to create your own unique pencils to draw with.

Make a simple corner origami bookmark and then add creative details with markers on other paper.

1. Select the template you want to mosaic
2. Plan your colors for each section and gather colored crepe paper
3. Brush glue onto a section of your template
4. Scrunch the paper into a small ball
5. Press each ball into the glued area and fill the entire section

What can you make with this classic art material? Hundreds of things! Pins, hair clips, pendants, and more!

Color and cut out your designs and then our volunteers will shrink them for you in the oven. You can glue on findings to make it functional!

Try your hand at the printmaking technique of silkscreen printing. We have two designs for you to choose from. These screens were cut by lasers to make them very fast. Try a rainbow roll to get multiple colors in one pull.

We have one bag for reach family to make their own tote. You can silkscreen your own t-shirts or items if you would like. It will take at least a couple hours to dry. Don't forget to put your name on the bag.

Come learn how to sculpt a colorful dish to hold all of your small treasures. We have fun texture stamps that can add more interest to your design. Use one of the bowls to help it keep it's shape while it dries.

Join us in celebrating the imagination and artwork of Yayoi Kusama. We have recreated our own USM Obliteration Room Please grab some colorful stickers and place them anywhere in our white room that you are drawn to.

The work relates to hallucinations Kusama began to experience in childhood, where her vision was clouded by spots. The obliteration room is a reflection of this hallucinogenic vision, as well as a way of embracing the whole world in a kind of overall pattern.
