Join this interactive, lively class and learn to play basic guitar. You'll learn the parts of the guitar, how to tune your instrument, and gain a great basis of understanding of music. Participants will need to provide their own guitar.

Discover board games beyond the ordinary. Bring your friends or make new ones while you discover mechanics like deck building, area control, dice drafting, auction and bidding, etc. Play longer games that require strategy and sustained concentration, as well as games that lead to silly fun. This class is for everyone!

Join David Stokes for a week of animal encounters in the classroom and out in nature. You will experience live frogs, turtles, snakes, and more up close! Mr. Stokes' lessons extend to ecology and respect for the natural world around us.

Young actors will create original characters and adventures of their very own as they utilize improvisation techniques to further develop their beginning theater and ensemble skills.

Students will apply their theater skills and bring a production of a popular musical to life- all in 2 weeks! This experience allows students the opportunity to not only participate on and off stage to bring the show to life and learn the skills required in a rehearsal process, but also to further develop their theater skills in this special hybrid class/performance opportunity.

Crayola® World of Design is a summer camp that takes kids on a journey to the edges of their imagination – and beyond! They learn about Mars, the rainforest, and cities of the future, and get engaged in the creative design process to solve real-world problems.

Each camp day focuses on a specific field of design, and our young architects, illustrators and graphic designers develop their ideas from concept, to sketch, to finished product. They bring their concepts to life by experimenting with Crayola® products, and exploring art techniques like sculpting, storyboarding, mixed media, and collage. Combining art, design, fun active games and inspiring themes from around the world, this camp is designed to inspire!

Junior scientists will take in science around them in this Mad Science camp for preschoolers! Step into an astronaut’s shoes as we travel to space, work your muscles as we learn about our skeletons, and catch your shadow as we look at light! A Mad Science symphony will take place as we listen to how music is made, and a magnet exploration will help everything stick together. Between hands-on experiments and fun take homes, this camp is sure to excite all of our curious preschool and kindergarteners!

MCSC’s nationally recognized “Prams in the Park” program introduces sailing and water safety to children in the Discovery World lagoon. Students learn water safety‚ rigging‚ sail theory‚ basic maneuvers and practice a capsize recovery drill under the watchful supervision of MCSC instructors. Students are required to have passed a 25-yard swim check in order to participate‚ and permission and medical forms are also required.

Join MCSC’s Youth Sailing Program and sail on Lake Michigan. Even if you’ve never sailed before‚ you can learn. Our youth program incorporates a hands-on approach to the basics of sailing and water safety. Students learn boat handling‚ sail theory‚ rules of the road and they learn and practice crew overboard-maneuvering skills along with capsize recovery skills. Students are required to have passed a 75-yard swim check in order to participate‚ and permission and medical forms are also required.

Join Lower School Science Integration Teacher Bonnie McGill in the place where learning comes to life... outside! This unique summer class will give participants the chance to hike while investigating questions rooted in biology, geology, climate change, and so much more. In addition to on-campus exploration, participants will travel to local county and state parks to further extend their learning.
