Summer Institute for Academic Advancement

University School of Milwaukee invites students entering 9th through 12th grade to extend their learning during the summer months through our Summer Institute for Academic Advancement, which offers semester- and year-long courses in a focused and condensed summer schedule. Taught by world-class instructors, these credit-bearing courses provide a great way to get a jump on a required or elective course, or pursue an area of interest. (Courses will not assist students in recovering lost credits from a previous school year.)

Students enrolled in schools other than USM who are interested in registering for a Summer Institute for Academic Advancement course must provide a completed teacher/advisor recommendation form in addition to a copy of their high school transcript(s) to be considered for enrollment. These documents will be reviewed by the instructor and/or the assistant head of Upper School prior to your acceptance into the course. Students are also advised to ensure that credits may be transferred to their current school upon successful completion of the course. Please contact the Upper School office at 414.540.3410 for more information.

Additionally, recommended non-credit prep classes are offered in mid-August.
